The Cloud DevOps Engineer is responsible for the automation, configuration, and coding for the OVHcloud US infrastructure. This position serves as the final escalation point for incidents or problems that occur related to the network infrastructure, storage sub-system, and/or the utility-computing platform. The ideal candidate must be able to understand application level performance characteristics, capacity requirements, and have the proficiency to identify actionable activities to maintain an acceptable service level for the associated environments and applications. The Cloud DevOps Engineer handles all aspects related to proof concepts, UAT, and vendor management.
Salary: $101,421.00

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain deployments to non-production environments used for testing, etc.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for products going into production.
- Patching and upgrading for Private Cloud products.
- Read, understand and patch existing code as needed.
- Provide training and onboarding documentation.
- Act as a mentor for other members across teams.
- Engineer and maintain cloud infrastructures, including physical and virtual servers, network devices and storage arrays.
- Serve as highest escalation point and provide root cause for incidents or problems in the environment that could be related to the cloud infrastructure.
- Engage with application and system resources to plan for configuration, performance and capacity requirements.
- Manage implementation and sustained configuration projects for the environment.
- Design and maintain Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 24 months in an SRE, DevOps, programming, or similar position.
- 2 years of experience performing system administration of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
- 2 years of experience performing day-to-day Operational (SRE/DevOps) tasks and working with microservices and multiple APIs.
- 2 years of experience with languages such as Perl, Python, Bash, Go, etc.
- 2 years of experience managing a distributed, highly available, high-traffic infrastructure based on Linux.
- 2 years of experience with maintenance/configuration of monitoring, metrics, and logging infrastructures like Nagios, Grafana, OpenSearch.
- 2 years of experience with open-source configuration management tools, such as Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
- 2 years of experience with cloud technologies and terminology.
- 2 years of experience with virtualization and container technology.
- 1 year of experience working with OVHCloud’s Private Cloud Catalog, Capabilities, and Configurations.
- 1 year of experience with supporting and maintaining the proprietary MOZG tool that supports OVHCloud Private Cloud Computing functions.
- 1 year of experience with delivering infrastructure using the OVHCloud Atelier tool for provisioning, scheduling and maintenance deployments.
